Favorite Samples from Nuru

Nuru sells photojournalism prints, and then gives half the proceeds to charity (the other half gets split evenly with the photographer). The prints all have stories behind them; follow the links to read them.

1. Fisherman praying for calm seas. They don't understand why summers are getting hotter, winters getting colder, and that their environment is dying, so they pray for help.

2. Indonesian village dependent on sacrifices to a volcano for its livelihood.
